Help with a Stadia controller please

I have confirmed that the controller works fine, it's detected by Windows 10 and the controls and buttons can be seen moving/pressing fine.

However in GTA5 it doesn't work. The only way I can get the game to do something with the controller is to hold the Stadia button down at the same time as moving the joystick and my character looks around. No other buttons or sticks etc. do anything.

Has anyone managed to get a Stadia controller working in GTA5?

Why use stadia controller tho? ps and xbox are better

Because they sent £90 worth of controller and Chromecast free. I'm not buying a controller for one game.

I bought it long time back with all the extras & don't regret anything.

stadia controller collects hand sweat fast af, ps and xbox are really better than stadia controller

Not with stadia but with others, you can map everything with that software, get the 14 day trial and try.
