GPU overclocking makes no difference in gta v fps?

i have all settings in normal, and when i overclock my gt 710 (it has a fan so there's no overheating problem) i see no difference, maybe i need to set it to high because gta v uses gpu instead of cpu when texture settings is on high?

i really fail to see a point in 7fps when everyone who is against you in game is getting far more than whatever you are getting leaving you at a great disadvantage.

yes it is, thats terrible. basically polishing a turd. so keep polishing it till it does throttle (which because of his low fps gains it probably is.)

its a gt 710
that card is ass and getting a 7 fps boost would probably boost him up to a stable 30 fps. if you're using something like a gtx 1660ti then yeah a 7 fps boost is terrible since you're already getting good frames.

i didn't say he had onboard video.

I didn't say you did. I was just pointing out how old his CPU was and the fact he doesn't even have it. I was just adding to the fire I guess..lol

even though the GT 710 is kinda crappy, you should be able to handle it at low settings
also, what CPU are you using? gta 5 is extremely CPU dependent and having a powerful GPU will not change much if you're using a weak CPU

yeah i have a amd phenom ii quadcore 9500, its a bad cpu but it handles gta v impressively well

what motherboard is it? the processor itself does not have onboard video though.
