it looks pretty normal to me though. maybe there is some brightness effect your monitor has that enhances this effect? its very subtle for me frankly.
i wouldn't sell my pc over this though, games all have their quirks about them. like Watch Dogs 2 has this strange flicker going from light to dark- its like the lighting can't handle the aperture changes and just gives out a flicker. no one else seems to complain about it but it is a known issue.
different systems probably show it differently and your resolution and fps would effect the transitions. Like i can't run WD2 past 60fps or that effect is completely unbearable. its like a strobe light for shadows.

that makes sense and I appreciate your input. the thing is that on my end it's very noticable like you just see the whole screen changing brightness and it hasn't got anything to do with my monitor because a different monitor has the exact same issue. if i could just "ignore it" i wouldn't have noticed it in the first place or written this thread :). I don't believe that there isn't a way to fix it and there should be someone who knows a fix I hope.
