How do I get the NPCs to stop calling me?

Getting the phone out stops me from aiming and therefore properly shooting as the phone is controlled using the mouse. During fights this can be very annoying and get me killed.

I don't want to buy a Hangar, Facility, Nightclub, Apartment or anything else. Not yet at least.

Is there any way to get them to stop calling me?

I would also like to know this , its crazy when they call u atleast once every 10 min to tell u to buy their crap

You can't. There's absolutely no way to get them to stop entirely. Even if you buy the DLC, they'll still repeatedly call you to harass your life about other things. Welcome to the main reason why I stopped playing and eventually uninstalled; I was tired of getting constantly spammed with phone calls whenever I tried to play. It even got me killed a few times.

I haven't played GTA V in a while, but I know keys are remappable, and I never had a problem with this. Can't you remap the key in question, e.g. to a different mouse button, or to the keyboard?

EDIT: The only problem I had was accidentally hanging up on a call and missing what the person said. Some calls don't get returned, so you're out of luck if you don't reload a save.

I'm surprised there isn't a separate discussion category on Steam, since it's a separate game.

It is called that. However it does not have it's own discussion area on Steam so I had to put it here.

For people like Lester, Agent 14, and some of the other business NPCs, they stopped calling me after I finished/bought whatever the big thing they were calling about. For the businesses I just stopped doing them, and after a while I stopped getting calls from them. Basically if you're not at the end game or don't feel like purchasing all the stuff they ask you to, theres no way to get rid of them.
