Most players experiencing this right now. I suggest to sort it out yourself because different PC spec won't have same game and graphic settings to prevent the crash.

Actually been like this after 'Next-Gen' update. F*cked up even more after Casino DLC update.

A total reinstall of the app and the drivers did nothing to stop my computer from crashing. Later on that same day, my friend, who plays every day and has had no issues, started crashing to desktop as well. However, we played last night really late and never crashed. We got at least two to three hours of missions in without trouble. I've decided it's on the server end and beyond my control. (I can't say I have any idea how a server error would cause a crash to desktop but it seems possible.)

Decided to finish story mode once more. It's just unplayable. Three times in the row game crashed during third heist. The one with FIB crashing armor truck. First time it crashed then Michael parked Garbage truck across street, seccond time when Trevor took out snipers and now third time then Franklin runned to garbage truck tto escape. It's bs. I don't want to play fourth time this mission.

Welcome to the club. I've raised the issue with R* and they've given me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuses to fix the issue. No matter what you do, it will still crash. They need to release a patch.

Looks like it's not an isolated case. Since I installed Geforce driver 436.30, I've had random crash moments too.

I never updated anything and started crashing every 10 min - 1 hour as of 2 days ago at random. It's the game, not drivers. None of my other games have any crash issues, just this one. xP

My name is Manuel and I am part of the NVIDIA Customer Care team. I would like to see if we can reproduce this. Can users with NVIDIA GPUs tell me what error messages you are seeing and also can you try rolling your drivers back to an older driver and let me know if you still see the same error?

Note the ACCESS_VIOLATION_ERROR and Code 107 along with 0xc0000005 errors. I have rolled back to driver 431.60 but the crashes still occurs very randomly.

GTX Gigabyte 1070 Windforce OC (not overclocked)
CPU i5-8600K (stock speed)
16GB RAM
256GB SSD
Windows 10 Pro x64 version 1809.
