Is FiveM (roleplay servers) worth playing?

So I downloaded it and when I started one of the servers, it all started with a survey with weird questions about server rules. I answered most of them with a help of google but after 5 tries I still couldn't answer enough questions to get into the server.

Then I had to wait in a queue to join another server and after a long wait I got kicked out.

When I see that huge server list idk where to even start but I love watching gta rp on twitch and I feel like that's a great experience. But I wouldn't even know how to get a job if I got into a server.

I'm happy with gta online but I see so many people playing exactly gta rp and I wanna ask you, would you recommend me trying it again or is it just worse than gta online and it's not worth it after all. I really value my time and I don't want to spend it on nothing.

Nah fick roleplay. It's not that fun as real life simulating things gonna drive you crazy like fueling and s**t. Better play Cops and Robbers mode. I can suggest CnR NG (Next Generation) server as this is continuation of legendary CrazyBob's Cops And Robbers from SA-MP.

TL;DR RP is for dorks and bootlickers

If you're into RP it can be enjoyable, but every server I've ever joined has the same issue. A group of self-righteous power hungry nerds running it who get to do whatever they want while the rest grovel and kiss ass for a little bit of leeway. So much ego it's impossible to have reasonable encounters. The MC's are usually the chill crowd, the PD are teacher's pets on a power trip, and the street gangs are wannabe gangster dorks. Lots of gatekeeping and favoritism. And those are the good servers with content that runs well.

My best experience was had as a civilian, got a job as a mechanic. Had to ask around in city and fill out forms via Discord to apply. I got to meet most of the city, learn the ins and outs, do's and dont's, and exchanged a few favors along the way to earn good graces. Eventually I joined up with the MC and generally had a good time. Gang beefs and interactions with PD is where it went south. Very quickly I saw that almost every interaction led to complaints and disputes in Discord about who did what wrong or who was powergaming/breaking rules because no one could take an L for the sake of RP. Ego constantly got in the way between players and favoritism always won out. Anyone close to the Admins and Mods got preferential treatment. Big streamers make the server look good so they will almost always be given more leeway, don't believe the hype.

Cool bro, you can successfully pay you virtual car insurance, show up to your virtual pizza slinging job and register your virtual firearms! If you weren't such a sad sack of meatjuice you might be able to do that in the real world too
