Does FiveM require higher specs than those required to run GTA V without low FPS and stutter?

Usually any mod will lower the performance, the more mods you have = lower performance

Right now i have mods i already downloaded and am wanting to use when i get GTA V for Christmas. They are Script Hook V and Afterdeath. Hopefully, it doesn't eat up my potato fps! I'll want to play with mods though. How much FPS am i going to lose for these mods? I've been told i need Script Hook V anyway for the Afterdeath mod.

scripthook alone shouldnt really lag your game.
its when you start adding other stuff that it can lag.
depends on the mods. for the most part, a few scripts shouldnt be a problem.
big script mods that make complex gameplay changes may lag.

the native trainer that comes with scripthookv should be fine.
more complex tools & menus like menyoo & map editor are certain to make your game lag if you have loads of extra files (xml's) in their sub folders.
a lot of spawns/props/peds/vehicles will also lag your game.

there are certain settings.xml files you can download and try. these mainly lower graphics and all that to gain more frames.

(fivem may inadvertently require more resources, since a lot of the servers have custom added content which you need to download first. like any other custom servers in different games. the maps are going to contain all kinds of stuff)

depends on your specs i guess, but you should at least want vanilla gta + a simple mod first, and try it, before commiting to fivem.

afterdeath? some kind of slowmo death replay thing?
shouldnt impact actual gameplay.
may lag when it activates on death or when you press the slowmo button, if you have graphics/cpu issues.

does the vanilla mod require good specs? I didn't see any difference between vanilla and base game.

I also want to try LSPDFR, but it might crash and lag my game to all hell. Should i give it a go?

vanilla=base. cant remember what the store page says, but some people have got the game stripped down to ps3 style graphics and maybe even lower, with custom removed base game content like bins, grass, trees, clutter, particles etc. using yet another modding system called openiv (modding .rpf/update files)
which is probably the most complex and is used to create awesome totally lag-worthy full game and world overhauls. much like fo4 planet overhauls.
to the extreme, but demonstrates what the gta5 engine/worldspace is capable of.

ragehook/lspdfr may indeed lag.
its free though. its a bit more complex than scripthookv but if youre going to get the game then might aswell test it.

if youre new to gta5 modding then practice with scripthookv+native trainer first.
ragehook/lspdfr requires a seperate exe/launcher etc.

make sure you test the game for less than 2 hours.
then get a refund if it dosent run or youre not happy with the laggy framerate.
