Scripthook error: unknown game version

recently installed a car pack through OIV and now I get scripthook error, game will not start. here is what it says on my scripthook log:

I didn't create a backup of anything, so I'm really hoping I don't have to reinstall the game

Did your car pack install an outdated scripthook? Or are you intentionally using an old one?
If it did - it might be as simple as updating your scripthook files.

I updated my scripthook files and it fixed the error but now the game just doesn't open. I click play and nothing happens, it seems like it's loading forever. Steam says its running so it didn't exactly crash but I've been waiting 10 minutes for the game to open now but nothing is happening. This is as far as the scripthook log gets now

Well... now.. you've updated scripthook...
That doesn't immediately mean all your mods will work - they might need updating.
If you are using openIV and have a modified update.rpf that may need correction too.

Depending what you do have installed, it maybe be easier to section out mod removals and keep testing. Starting with the "mods" folder if one exists - and work from there.

How can I remove mods installed through the package installer in OpenIV? (.oiv files) I know what mod it is, the car pack that I installed I am pretty sure since it's the only one that was at least a year old, but it was .oiv and I'm not sure how to remove that.

I thought when I dragged the scripthook files from the winrar file that it would have the updated ones but apparently I needed to extract the rar file

Alot of those can't be uninstalled. Or, so the package installer says. You could try renaming the .oiv to .zip and opening it there to see just what it did end up modifying, and trying to undo it... Might find someone made an uninstaller in the mod comments... no guarantees there though.

That is why the modding mantra is backups backups backups.

I don't mind reinstalling all of the other ones as I don't have all that many, would I just delete my mods folder and start over?

if you download from that site it says on the page it supports 101737.6 but if you check the readme file wiht it it only supprots 101737.0 have installed it both files and it still says game version unsupirted very strange

i havent insstalled any mods for a few months now ofline game worked perfectly well until the laubncher downaloded

Downloaded straight from last link I gave. Extracted the 3 files out of the .zip / bin folder straight into my gtav folder. Started gtav. Hit F4 - it works perfectly.

just tried again from you link it says it supports 06 on the download page i clcik the small download next to it ..when i open the read me file it dosent say 06 in the changelog and i still get the same scripthook error ..????

Then either you aren't downloading it, something is blocking your download, or magically you are getting a different version.
