MSI GTX 1060 6Gb Gaming X Natural Vision Evolved
Hey guys, installed a few days ago NVE on my PC and up until this I used to be able to play at 4K stable 30fps using NVR and a light ENB preset, very high settings. But now, unfortunately, even with the lightest ENB preset that comes with NVE my game dips down to 23-27fps sometimes even 20. After a few tests it became clear that I wasn’t going to be able to use ENB series so I removed it completely and turned down some shadows settings, more specifically, softest shadows to soft and very high shadows to high, and voilá, stable 30fps, at least during the day time.

I wanted to know if anybody with a GTX 1060 has already tried the mod and tried tweaking ENB settings or something like that.

Just a light discussion since the GTX 1060 is already way behind some newer graphics cards.

My system:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 2700

Motherboard - Asrock B450M HDV R4.0

RAM - 16GB DDR4 G.Skill Black CL16 3000MHZ

GPU - MSI GTX 1060 6gb Gaming X

Storage - Crucial BX500 240GB SSD & WD Green 500GB HDD

PSU - Corsair Vengeance 650W full modular

Case - Cooler Master Q300L

Dont mod. Issue fixed. Grange should run great on a 1060. Though 4k is a bit much for that card.
Not at 30fps it isn’t. Better than the ps4 pro could ever get with that foney 4K, if they ever decided to enhance GTA. And “don’t mod” isn’t exactly the answer I was looking for. What’s the point of playing GTA V if not to mod?

to enjoy the game bug free
I don’t have bugs. U just have to know what you’re doing when modding.
Lower your settings to 2k or 1080p even. Mod all you want but be aware of how much your system can handle. Mods do have an impact on performance.
Maybe you changed fullscreen to borderless fullscreen?
Jesus christ 1080p and 2K are unplayable after playing at 4K in my TV. It looks like the game was meant to be played at 4K, I made a post about this on another section. Textures and draw distance at far look so much nicer and more realistic, I can’t stand 1080p anymore. Just waiting for some money and then gonna buy an RTX 2060 super or an RTX 2070 to make the jump to 4K 40fps comfortably. I don’t even mind playing at 30fps with everything Ultra settings.
Maybe I changed or maybe I should change? I don’t get it, does anybody with an actual experience on running NVE on a 1060 is going to answer my topic?

Imagine focusing on gameplay instead of appearance. Also, why are you directing your response at Jesus?
If I wanted to focus on gameplay I would actually play a game that I haven’t been playing for the last 7 years every week lol
In my situation I don’t think ENB it’s worth sacrificing resolution to play at 1080p or 1440p. 1440p would be acceptable except for the fact that it only looks good with msaa and txaa and with that on I can’t get a stable 30fps with ENB series.
