Utility vests don't work in doomsday heist?

They released a lot of new body armor looking vests as well, but none of them work neither and it seems like they were meant to. Does anyone know if this is a feature/nerf or bug?

I've played through all of the doomsday heists now with 1 friend (ie 2 player) and without the vest getting the 2 player criminal mastermind challenge (all missions with no deaths) looks to be really hard.

They don't, unfortunately. They look cool, but that's it. I was hoping setting my outfits preference to Player Owned would actually help make things easier. I just look like Jango Fett attacking a facility lol
