Gun Melee in First Person

So usually you can melee someone with your weapon by pressing R or get close to them and press the fire button. You can also melee without hitting someone like only the air or a vehicle, However when i go to first person and press R nothing happens, but its different when im on 3rd person i just melee the gun to air. Is the controls changed ? or its disabled? or its not a feature?

I don't remember since I deleted GTA 5. I remember you can melee someone with a gun in first person if you are close enough to them.

I looked up, aim and press R to melee. Maybe that's it?

Yep...i just run towards then and spam R while in fp

I tried melee a car window in 1st person nothing happens, it happens when im only in 3rd person.

In interaction menu change your targeting to "everyone" you probably have it set as attackers or strangers.

I just realized this today while testing what would keep the radio in your car playing after you exit the vehicle, which I thought only worked in GTA 4. But in first person you can't melee a car. Weird how inconsistent this game can be.
