Would I be able to run this game?
Hi, Im looking to buy this game when it goes on sale soon. I'm wondering around how many frames and at what graphics setting I would be able to run it at. Thanks, heres my specs.

Intel® Core™ i7 6500U Processor,
Full HD (1920x1080)
8gb memory
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 950M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM
1TB HHD

I'm looking to upgrade my ram and put a ssd in later on.

980 is kind of ideal to gta 5 online and anything else that isnt super graphic monster games, my 960 is cutting it with a thin line without stupid settings like particles, tesselation or grass and pointless distance render

id say youre capable but still check your settings for pointless stuff weighing you down, check comparisons on the nvidia website

Vaz, it's a craptop. A craptop with only 8gb ram and 2gb vram.

Also, there's a pinned thread for this crap, OP, use it.

Capable. But not the same thing as playable.

You can run it, don't expect high settings or even medium settings on any options. You will be forced to play low if you want a decent framerate. If you want to play the game, buy an actual rig.

1050ti Budget Build is one I think of.'

Found out that my graphics card is actually a gtx 950m 4gb ddr3 vram.

Does that change anything

Youtube specs + gtav = find some comparison videos/settings - subtract some fps for recording.

You will be able to play the game yes, but you would have to put everything on low and probably lower the resolution to 720p in order to get decent framerates

This is why I think the pinned thread is kind of pointless. People will either make random guesses or direct the OP to a YouTube video.

OP you should be able to run at low to med settings @1080p.

One more thing, I have a desktop with a gtx660 (every site that I've visited says that its better than the 950m) and a slightly better processor than I have in this laptop, its alot faster and that browsing the web and stuff but it performs worse than my laptop, with the specs i stated. Would the desktop be better for gta v? I really have no clue.

I wouldn't say that the 660 is better than the 950m. Actually 950m seems to be slightly better than the 660.

Lower CUDA Cores
Lower Base/Boost(?) clocks
Lower TFLOPS
Lower/worser memory bandwidth, interface, and width
Loses in every benchmark test.

And somehow it's 'better'.
This is why the 'Can I run it?' pinned thread is useless.

The 660 is very similar to 560ti which is inferior to 950m. Check your facts before claiming anything please.
