NAT type: Strict
Hello, i really want to play with my friends but i can't join their session in gta 5 because of my NAT type being strict. I have read that i am supposed to make a port forward and i have followed the article by rockstar carefully (https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/206210548/How-to-Resolve-Errors-in-GTA-Online-about-Strict-NAT-Type). But.... it..... dosen't work....
Here is a screenshot of my portforward: https://i.imgur.com/TNpoIOh.png (By the way i am using the router called "Icotera i5800"
(I know that i don't own gta 5 on this account but i am playing on epic games)
What am i doing wrong? Thank you for your help!

it could be your windows defender or equivalent software firewall preventing it. make sure to delete all the .exe rules in that for gtav and social club then try again.
also i found this for your router:

Ok i have completely uninstalled all of my antivirus just to be on the safe side. The only antivirus i have left is the windows defender itself. I have also followed the guide and disabled the "loopback" feature on the router (because the guide said so). I have also "opened" for GTA 5 in windows firewall (screenshot links in the bottom). I also followed this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wFn2Mxct4s
But it still dosen't work.... Still says "strict" not even "moderate".
Thanks for your help!

make sure you have it opened for social club also.

Can't find it. Not even Epic Games.

i don't know if epic needs it but social club definitely does. that is what is technically reading your NAT as strict.

have you tested without the router in play?

i mean with your modem directly connected to pc.

or is your router a gateway? (router modem combo)

Yeah i have tried that because i thought it was the same thing. But yes i am connected via a router gateway.

Holland Jun 9, 2020 @ 8:11am
♥♥♥♥ is that the problem? Because my router is ♥♥♥♥ and they don't allow me to turn it on...

oh, yeah thats the problem. maybe you can request your ISP turn it on.
Holland Jun 9, 2020 @ 8:15am
Okay i have found an article about the problem but it is in Danish and i don't understand a word so i am going to try and translate it into English. Give me a second...

if the option is disabled it means in your firmware your isp has decided it wasn't to be used by you.
if your isp wont allow use of it, might be a good idea to try and upgrade or convince isp to give you a new one since its not working for you. Usually i can request a new modem every few years or so at least on my isp.

Okay i won't bother translating the article then because they are saying almost the same.
They also talk about a new firmware update that may fix the problem but it is a couple of years old so i bet that that didn't fix anything.
They also talk about that i can put my router into DMZ mode. What is that and will it help?
