Do I increase the inner or outer, because the drift is so terrible and constant it's as if I were to be pushing the entirety of my joystick in one direction.
New update, put the inner and outer to multiple lengths on the slider, all it ever did was stop me from using the joystick while I still had a problem with the camera shifting constantly at all times to the right.
All of which did not have any problems like I do with GTA V on Steam, so it's definitely not a controller problem and more so a GTA V - Steam issue.
sorry for the delay
I have not take in the othere two a part yet but im sure it would work for them also.
One of the controllers when pressing left trigger moves me forward in such a way that i didn't even know till i was so pissed that all my shooter games i couldn't track anything well enough to win.
Doesn't really seem to do me any good.
I tried to up the deadzone from the beginning to the end of the bar, and it didn't work a bit. I even tried to switch the deadzone shape from cross to circle to square and still to no avail.
Also I appreciate the help, so no worries about the delay.
It's not even my controller that's the problem, it's just the GTA V and Steam which seem to be the problem because my controller works fantastically well on every other application as well as my own PS4.
I also grew up on the PS controllers so I prefer them more so then others.
So did mine only certain games did it mess up on. Warframe was one cause they had no dead zone settings in game for ps4.
ScpToolkit
The otheir free controller apps would do wierd things like switch buttons and deadzones from the default ps4 ones
Yeah I bought a PS4 controller before the one I am using now that was giving me right analog drift within 4 weeks.
The one I have now I can tell is a newer model its like black steel or something the other was red and I can tell just nudging it slight that the factory deadzones on the newer ones are more forgiving you can push on it a bit more before it starts to move.
Ironically I have an original PS4 controller that I used forever and it never drifted on me but the RT LT are broken like most original models it only effects some game GTA being one of them but I was able to fix in steam config by pulling out whatever that is on the trigger to shoot.
I suspect that it was the G2 models that are unforgiving tight deadzones that drift easy.
Im not sure what the current generation is
If anyone does find a base fix to remedy the problem of the Steam+GTAV PS4 controller support problem, please do share.
