EpicGames GTA V not working with a controller. EDIT: FIXED

It seems EpicGames is allergic to controller inputs with their ♥♥♥♥ service, but I'm a simple man, I hear GTA is free, I grab a copy. Anyway is there any way to get a PS4 controller working with GTA V? DS4 Windows doesn't work. I came here because I didn't have many places to go to ask for this. I know its an issue with Epicgames, because controllers didn't work with Celeste either. I'm sure theres a file in the Epicgames directory that has something pertaining to a block for controller input. I wonder if there is a fix.

EDIT: So turns out, it doesn't have to be THAT complicated. You just add the Rockstar Social Club AND the EpicGames launcher as a non-steam game to Steam and just use the Steam controller configuration integration since the Rockstar launcher is now a "non-steam library game" (AKA: The shift+tab menu works, so the controller configuration works too). it should work normally if you specifically open the Rockstar social club app (through steam) first and open it from there.

Thats just the problem. I can't get that far. The game wont detect my inputs when I try to bind the inputs. Its not a binding issue, its a "The game is not detecting my controller" issue.

maybe with a control mapper program? wich pad do you use?

Darksiders2 from epic used my controller with no issue via scptoolkit. Others have mentioned just adding the epic launcher to steam as a non-steam game and launching it that way.

Which pad?If you're talking about controller, I'm using a PS4 controller. Granted the only control map program I used is DS4 windows, which is apparently the best one.

Do Xbox controllers work with it? If so, anything using Xinput should also work.
Also, are you using the old version of DS4Windows or the version by Ryochan7?

You can get it to work

Solutions 1 buy controller companion off steam 2-3 euro & run that

Solution 2 buy REWASD 30 eur can basically emulate anything and can be used everywhere has no limitations.
