LSPDFR 0.4 Issues

Iv installed LSPDRF 0.4 and when i launch the game from rage it stays on a black screen with text in the bottom right saying loading LSPDFR.

I left it for 3 and a bit hours to see if it will load, but it stays on the black screen, Any help would be great.

Works fine here on a vanilla gtav install - wouldn't expect anything less. Didn't update ragehook either. I'd check all the usual things. Run as admin, unblock dlls, add folders/files to whitelist/exclusions for antivirus/security. Possibly force dx11 / window mode through ragehook settings (launch rph - hold shift). windows10 game/xboxdvr caused issues before too (crashes iirc - could manifest differently now /shrug). Close other apps/garbage in the background. And of course - test by removing any other mods if any... etc. Verify vanilla works(again). Check in the logs created in gtav folder.. so on.

Are you using 0.4, or 0.4.1?

I'm using 0.4.1 and things are good. I just installed all this again maybe 3 days ago. I do remember reading something that doesn't work in 0.4 that was in the LSPDFR page, but I don't remember what it was. Maybe it was for LCPDFR?

Did you manual install or auto install? HDD or SSD?

Make sure everything is updated. That was an issue for me in the past.

Not to sound like a broken record but...

Make sure ScriptHookV and RageHook are updated, then re-install LSPDFR and it should be good. Also, try the game with just SHV and RH installed to make sure the game loads, then try installing the mod and check the game.

I have LSPDFR and all the 'essential' mods, plus a few more and things are good on my end.

Maybe try a fresh install?

I have LSPDFR / LSPDFR+ / Traffic Policer and Arrest Manager (the very basic plugins) and I get crashes randomly while playing. Last night I sneezed and LSPDFR crashed.

Jokes aside, playing LSPDFR is like walking on a minefield. One weird situation and the script collapses like the WTC planned demolition.

HA! Yea, that is true. While sometimes LSPDFR does crash for me, the game stays loaded for me so I'm able to just re-load it. Annoying, but being there isn't like, a save function for your arrests or anything like that(I'm not syncing, sorry), it doesn't bother me to re-load it, go to a station and go on duty. It's fun either way.

I haven't had a CTD with it yet, aside from using outdated other mods. But that's really on me for trying.

Any tips to make it more stable? I see Youtubers having ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of plugins for LSPDFR (like 20+) along with other mods running, it's crazy (their mod list is 40 items+)!!

Also, do you reload it from console when LSPDFR closes? I think the notes specify to never attempt to load it from F4 commands.

Not to be that guy, but specs probably help a bit with mods. They do in other games. Better specs, better mod performance.

Yea, I reload it from the F4 console. I think it's the RageHook console? If it says not to, I do with no problems. shrug

How do you do it? xD
I'll start doing it as well since most times the game doesn't close.

I am alright with specs. GTX 1080, 8GB RAM etc etc. But you are right, they do affect the scripts. I wonder if lowering the graphics options (its all Ultra) will help with the LSPDFR crashes tbh.

Oh yea...you should be gravy dude. My specs are waaay lower than that and I'm getting 70-80 frames with only an a 1050ti XLR8 OC(massive OC) and an i5 7600k :D Most on ultra, with the Natural Revision 5 or w/e it is and it's clean. :)

When I press F4, type "loadplugin" or "unloadplugin" (w/o quotes) then LSPDFR.dll(or something)pops up, hit tab to auto-insert, then press enter.

Like most consoles, when you start typing, it will give you options as you type. It's pretty easy.

Yea, to go back to the normal story mode, I unload LSPD through the console, then load the normal game(usually last normal save) through the menu. You'll notice the LSPDFR tab is missing, so you'll know it's not loaded. Then you're back to the normal story with Michael, Franklin and Trevor.

Still trying to figure out the better arrests and warrants mod working. I don't think it works with LSPDFR. I'm probably doing something wrong though. Usually what happens. :)
