Windows key stuck after being pressed in the game

When I accidentally press Windows key in the game and the start menu of Windows system is activated, or press Windows + D in the game switch to the desktop, the Windows key will become sticky as if it is being pressed. So if I press D then (no matter if it is in the game), the system will execute the function of Windows + D, i.e. switch to desktop. If I press P then, the system will show the option of projection. Exit the game can solve the problem, but it is annoying.

pry the Win Key keyboard key off your keyboard.

Would stop 'annoying' yourself.

Don't do windows + key combinations, you don't have to disable the key compmetely. You're all good, I can get this same problem. Restart pc if you are still stuck with this for some reason.

this is indeed a bug, gonna take few key combination to get back to normal, and probably several tabbed out of the game. try key combination such as ctrl+windows, alt+windows etc

Lately I did something which seems to be a solution and you won't have to close your game
Just hold 'alt' and press the 'arrow key up'. It will bring out your phone even when the bug is active. Quick save your game right there and resume. The problem shouldn't persist anymore.

Even if it does, you still have your progress saved :v

I've got a theory. If you play GTA it overrides this key and execute it by their selfs which is the reason why it works ingame. When you get another program in foreground the game pauses but still overrides the key. But because the game is paused it doesnt executes the key by itself. To fix it you can uncheck the unpause game option in graphics settings. But there is another problem:

if you have GTA in fullscreen and you tab out the game pauses no matter if the option is checked or not. But if you put GTA to windowed fulscreen it doesnt pause if the option is unchecked as well.

For me this works

PC restart doesn't rquied. You can just press alt+ctrl+del then click Task Manager and shut down GTA process.

Just go back in gta 5 and spam windows key dont need no restart pc or tk
