Addonpeds not working for me. (FIXED)
I am trying to get addonpeds running on gta v. i have everything needed downloaded. however whenever i open the menu. it shows my old list (I reinstalled the game since i was having trouble with some mods. that caused all the mods i had to break.) and whenever i try to use one. it shows up saying "(Model Name) is not found in peds.rpf. I don't know what exactly i have done wrong - (This has since been fixed. took me a while but got it to work)

You reinstalled the game - but did you remove all the old/left over non-vanilla files?
Did you add the new peds and rebuild via the .exe?

Shouldn't need to reinstall the game if you are modding correctly and using a "mods" folder.
You can just clean, verify cache, and try again.

@psykoteky yes. i did remove the old non-vanilla files that were left over after uninstalling the game. i have added the new peds and rebuilded however it still isn't working.

And you correctly added the line to dlclist.xml in mods/update/update.rpf ? And the folder / dlc.rpf ?

3. Installation (Using mods folder method)
Open scripts folder, copy PedSelector.dll and paste into your GTA V scripts folder (YOUR GTAV FOLDER\scripts\)
Open dlcpacks folder, copy addonpeds folder and paste into (YOR GTA V MODS FOLDER)\update\x64\dlcpacks\)
Start your OpenIV and Enable "Edit Mode"
Go to: (mods/update/update.rpf/common/data)
Extract dlclist.xml to somewhere
Using a text editor, open dlclist.xml and add the following line before the </Paths> line:

<Item>dlcpacks:\addonpeds\</Item>
(remember this does not go "at the end" of the file - it goes "with" the others)

Save and import the edited dlclist.xml to OpenIV (in the same path of dlclist.xml)
Run AddonPeds Editor.exe as administrator and click "REBUILD" button. Done!

Literally did the above last week with zero issue. I'd go over your stuff very carefully.

I did correctly add everything.

i don't know if this helps. (probably doesn't) but i deleted everything in the ap_m.xml file and it removed the older files. but when i rebuild. it doesn't edit the ap_m.xml file to add the peds

And if you delete it - re-add peds and rebuild? It should recreate. If it does not - something is blocking access - controlled folder access in windows defender is 'first' to mind. Or try addonpeds.exe as admin too.

I just reinstalled addonpeds here + 3 peds and it worked perfectly.

Removing the usermods folder, and all addon ped related files / .rpf / etc-
(basically attempting to simulate a failed/incorrect installation)
Running addonpeds.exe still generates a new folder + .xml.

ok. i will try that.

rebuilding doesn't add a new .xml file. seems like it is being blocked

@psykoteky just fixed it. probably gonna remove this thread now

I'd try to remove it too after reading your profile comment.

"@psykoteky just fixed the issue. i had addonpeds misspelled + i had been using Rennie's method for addonpeds. which had peds2.rpf which i had deleted. but it was still being loaded in the content.xml file. so i removed the line that loaded up peds2.rpf and that fixed the issue."
