"SCRIPT HOOK V CRITICAL ERROR" how do i fix this?

3 days ago i wanted to mod gta v single player so i installed script hook v so i could run trainer v, how do i fix this error?

Rockstar updated the game so the current Script Hook isn't going to to work until the creator of Script Hook updates it.


Man I'll be really happy when Rockstar stops updating stupid Online.

Rockstar updated the game from version 1.0.1604.0 to 1.0.1604.1, so... nuff said. Current SHV do not support it as it is intended for version 1.0.1604.0.

My suggestion: wait for few days or so until Alex (Alexander Blade) updates the ScriptHookV. Then we can mod again.

I agree. My friend said that Online is trash; that's why I rarely play Online.

I agree. My friend said that Online is trash; that's why I rarely play Online.

As he said, the game was updated yesterday with a 69mb update to extend the online RC event but this affects ScriptHook V, will just have to wait for that to be updated.

Simple fix for the time being is to remove the scripthookv.dll file from the GTAV directory and you can continue to play the game (unmodded) until the file is updated.

I'm in a similar position to yourself in that i've only just came back to this game in the last few days and modded the offline single player game to include the online buildings/missions/vehicles thanks to GTA5.net mod site) so yesterday's update threw me off my gaming.

People hated when R* made a ban wave for using mods in the story mode, so now R* is making sneaky 2 digits megabytes updates ever once in a while lol
Anonymous fight between R* and Story mode mod developers.
Not illegal, but not wanted.

I miss playing with LSPDFR installed, hopefully the Scripthook deal gets updated soon. well within a few days at most. I miss pulling over people, and searching them for odd random stuff lol!

If you get a critical memory error
that effects internal system files to evidently being forced dumped, have fun reinstalling your operating system.

The reasons to keep a boot-able disc, so you can boot
into the install without hard-drive fully hooked up(use BIO settings to boot from disc), then attach corrupted drive just to delete all partitions as fast as possible then format, before using real app based on utilities to repair a drive correctly( slow WIPE) before reinstalling the o.s.

Really should learn how to use command prompt to wipe your own drive in a worse case scenario and IT training.

Know any good ways to waste your own time and fixing a problem, because people really don't need other people's problems.

I hope you can understand people used to program viruses that were meant to only target and attach them-self to certain cheating tools, so when the user activates it, they take down their own system after trying to commit immoral behavior.

Does not understand gaming is a sport, installs hacks expecting them to work like steroids, instead of learning how to play the sport, to find out doing either of the two is just causing self harm.

@comander bennett - Critical scripthookv errors are usually when you are running an old outdated scripthookv. Update it. Simple. If you have to - manually delete the scripthookv.dll and dinput.dll before updating it. Some users have issues 'replacing' those files - remove first to skip that issue.
