I absolutely love needing to spend more money to enjoy something that I already paid for.
I really don't understand how we let this happen. How did we allow Rockstar and Take 2 to think that we wanted GTA Online to turn into the free to play/ pay to win thing that it is today? I've never bought a shark card, but, shamefully, I admit that I've bought the game multiple times accross all the platforms that it's been released on excluding xbox one. The game is not very rewarding and it is quite difficult to argue that one should have to try so hard to access things in it when none of our efforts actually have positive and tangible effects on our real day to day lives. As it stands GTA is a chore to play if you're trying to do "the fun stuff." The most fun I've had playing the game was when a modder dropped a bazillion dollars on me and I was able to buy and customize cars, customize my character, paticipate in shoot outs, spending entire arsenals of ammunition because I could always buy more.. then they took all of the money away. I got to keep the stuff I bought, but that was short-lived as well. I was later suspended without explanation and my characters + everything I had were taken away and reset.

Sure, we get new updates and they're "free." But none of these updates actually fix bugs or improve the game's mechanics. The catch-up function in racing is broken and needs to be re-evaluated, vaulting over objects and transitioning between cover is clunky, script users are still crashing player's games and being a nuisance, and the first person camera could use some tuning because driving with it is very difficult due to the low field of view and visibility.. this list could go on and on..

As a community we should try to do something about this. It's not just happening to GTA.. many other games are trying to make us continuosly pay money after our initial purchase like some kind of subscription based service. We're the ones paying for it; we should stop.

Point #1- The cash drop happend over a year ago, and it happened on a massive scale when entire lobbies were being given money. A month or so later they tried to address it by removing all instances of modded money and making it difficult for modders to give players cash.

Not too long ago, but long after the money drops, I was suspended promptly after winning a bicycle race against a player who is notorious for getting other players to report people for cheats/ exploits whether they did anything suspect or not. I even have a video of the entire race that lead to my suspension on my youtube channel.

Point #2- If making money in the the game wasn't so hard, there would be no need for shark cards, and I wouldn't have very much to say about the game in it's current state aside from asking for some of the fixes for the issues that I described.

I don't really expect anything to change, but I do think we need to wake up and see what's happening to video games; they're becoming time and money vacuums and players are getting less and less for what they pay as time goes on.

You can say whatever you want but if you REALLY want to you can get everything in the game with tricks... ofc if you dont like some things in the game then you should avoid them. These are huge updates and I think they are well made and its all for "free" playing alone can be hard but thats why its called the multiplayer

I purchased Grand Theft Auto V and not GTA Online appearently. However it wasn't marketed like that. I paid for GTA 5 believing that GTA Online was part of the package. If my time is worth money, why should I have to spend excessive amounts of it grinding buggy missions after I've already paid for the game just to get enough money to access parts of the free content?

so what's the point of playing it if you don't wanna do missions and stuff. if everything was free you would just buy it and uninstall? expensive items is a reward for dedicated players who don't go weeping when they need to earn few millions. you can buy most basic stuff really easy. be happy that this game doesn't have some premium items only obtainable via microtransactions.

>_< dude. are you trolling right now? That kind of thinking is part of the problem. If you paid for the game why would you be willing to pay more money to access the "free" stuff that they keep adding to it? I'm sure people worked hard to create all the extra stuff that's being added, but we can't even purchase just the pieces and parts that we want directly.. not that I'd be cool with that either. You should be insulted that they've given you something saying that it's free while making it extremely time consuming and inconvenient to access without spending more real money.

I would be willing to pay for GTA online subscription 45$£€ a year just so we can get rid of some cheaters.

So heres the thing; I have no problem having to do missions or complete in-game criteria to access content. I think that's great; I miss unlockables in video games.

GTA online's missions are a grind to play, they're not that fun, they all feel like they were slapped together using a tool similar to the creator mode, they take way too much time, and too many of them can't be done solo. If I was rewarded with a MK II weapon for scoring 200 headshots on players, I would call that a fair and fun challenge.

A game should not require "dedication;" a marriage requires dedication, raising children requires dedication. GTA online is just a game and too much time is required to experience the more fun aspects of it. I have a rocket launcher and don't use it sometimes because I probably won't be able to afford more ammunition when I need it.. that's not fun, it's taxing and makes playing deathmatch or survival modes a pain with owned weapons.

So you want everything without having to put any effort into obtaining it. Got it.

I want everything to be available after completing reasonable in-game requirements. It should not take weeks of playing to make enough money to buy one car. This is a video game, not a part-time job.
