There you go. The new patch made it so that 2 guys spawn downstairs after all players are up the stairs. If you kill anyone downstairs at all, they will be spotted before you exit the casino.
I'm pretty sure the guy at the desk needs to go as his vision cone covers the doors.
I usually bump off the guy in the booth and the roaming guard leaving 2-3 behind near the lift then head up the stairs.
This never set the alarm off previously.
In my next run I was planning to execute everyone downstairs and see if that made any difference. 2 new guards spawning only after leaving the lower floor is a cheap trick.
The stealth approach was already laughably inconsistent and poorly designed; all the stealth approaches including the Big Con ones are far more taxing for no benefit.
Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell this isn't.
Why does the alarm not trigger when entering the casino/vault after bumping off most of the upstairs staff in the lobby? Where do all those bodies magically disappear to?
Why can't the guards see through the bulletproof booth windows when we can?
Why can we shoot a guard through a glass door window without anyone hearing the glass break?
The spot check on the vault is b/s.
Plus the preps like stealth suits which can't be ghosted and so on. Or the cars at the police warehouse.
Just another Rockstar logic failure.
It's a shame too - I'm sure the stealth approach with stealth suits is the cannon way.
Just as the aggressive approach gets a funny intro when going in through the front door.
----
p.s.
Has anyone tried using the nano drones to knock out the guards when exiting? Does this trigger a body found alarm?
The whole approach needs an overhaul imo.
Kill all people in downstair, if u miss one of em, then the miracle body have been found out gonna pop out. Kill when they outside of the Camera zone. The most annoying part for me is kill 2 people near the elevator, since someties 3 people in there. So yeah THats from my experience and never failed, if thats still failed.. Well i dont know probably either lag or bug.
I just notice i keep getting miracle of dead body spotted, if i kill only one or two but not all.
I just can counter this one "Plus the preps like stealth suits which can't be ghosted and so on."
EMP == Night vision google, thats why in there. Ghosted? Nah that would be too easy. So yeah
The best strategy post update I found is use the emp for the escape and just run to the door. You can get to the exit before the emp runs out.
The handful of stealth missions in GTA:SA were at least consistent albeit basic.
I remember the one with OG Loc in the mansion on the hills (Madd Dogg's Rhymes)
Plus the Burglar side missions where you robbed houses.
There's far too many missions in GTA 5 where mission scripting is set to botch the sneaky approach even with perfect execution.
I actually quite like getting the guard patrol routes or the groupe sech uniforms without triggering the guards.
But if they're gonna add stealth and covert missions to GTA 6 they need to go the full distance (i.e. Phantom Pain/Thief/Splinter Cell) or just scrap the concept entirely.
When coming out from the vault you'll want to stun or time the camera on the right and go into the side room.
Upon closer inspection the center desk guard's FOV isn't quite long enough to see you go through the right door.
Let the roaming guard go by and beeline to the stairs. (you did bring the lvl 2 keycards right..?)
When first entering the vault lobby they've rotated the direction of the guy in the booth.
He could be skipped before - but it's best to get rid of him now.
Either by using the rear door & shooting or by flying a drone to the rear window.
I didn't experiment with using the EMP on the way out as I kept running into annoying camera glitches; even when stunned they kept picking me up.
That whole approach is incredible buggy and inconsistent but I only have to play it once more to have all the costumes unlocked @ ammonation.
tazed the stair camera and go up until lester says the good news and bad news (1 guy still at the bottom floor)
once killed guards in the camera room the bottom guy can go up and bail together.
i think the solution is to left behind 1 guy at the bottom floor as lester says the good new and bad news
Rockstar: "People are memorising and getting better at heists. This isn't good for Shark Card sales. Lets fix this up to make it more annoying so people won't want to bother doing it. Yes! That's a great idea!"
Why people still play this POS game is baffling. XD
