is 8gb of RAM enough for GTA V
I have a Ryzen 3 3200G APU that is paired with one stick of 1x8GB @2400MHz RAM. And I am having issues with the game hitting 30 FPS+ unless on 900p and bellow with "normal graphics" settings? Will adding another stick of 8GB improve my performance?

Radeon Vega 8 (3200G's onboard GPU) isn't strong enough for GTA 5.

Consider getting a dedicated, decent gpu for your PC instead such as a GTX 1050 Ti or GTX 1650.

More ram can help with load times and pre-caching/standby. But again, Vega 8 is too weak.

Your actually running less then 4GB Ram when you take out what the OS is using :p .

The Vega 8 is crippled by that single channel RAM.

RAM is cheap still. Get a 16gb kit for like $60 while you can.

I have no issue with load times. Perhaps I'll buy another 8GB stick to free up the performance.
I recommend more just to ensure, what you will neutralize all small stutters at the end.

Here's my setup: Geforce GT720, Intel I5 3.2 GHz, 12GB RAM. After I changed 2GB stick (I had 6GB in total) to 8GB and tinkering some option in config file, I have 60 fps, and somewhere 50 in a city, but it's not a big deal, I got used to it.

Only troublesome you'll find arena war gamemodes due of effects it's using or missle base from dommsday heists act 3.

If you have DDR 4 then 8 GB and a pagefile will work .. But the problem here is that the ram will be eaten by you APU Graphics so thats a problem .. So maybe its better to buy 8GB extra from the same brand and type and buy an Nvidia 1650 ti .. Then you have a normal budget game PC ..

I'm running a 4GB Nvidia card with 8GB on the motherboard and it runs well.

the thing is I don’t have graphics card. I have a CPU with integrated graphics. That’s what the Ryzen 3200G is. The GPU in it takes 2GB of RAM to use it for VRAM. I think this is why I’m having performance issues.

with some fps boost bat file that disable some unneeded services you may get 30fps in game depends on your cpu and gpu I hev once run this game on old laptop 8gb i5 intel hd 4600 xD with 35 - 27 fps in full lobbies it wasnt bad at all I mean it not how it meant to be played but it was playable at med-settings

Definitely go for something like a 1050 to a 1060 if you can. Also, single channel RAM isn't something you should really do so consider getting another stick to increase performance. I used to play with integrated graphics and it sucked ass.

yes minimum requirements is only 4gig, you have to remember it is basically a 7 year old game, and the pc port is already 5 years old.

It's ok for single player mode, but you'll struggle if going online with that.
It will work but your computer is going to swaet a lot. 16 gb makes it quite comfortable

he never said what he had his graphics set as. You don't need a RTX card to run n64 mode at 60 fps.
