How many GB are needed for GTA 5 installation?

So I have like 130gb free space on my ssd and after installing the gta v today it now has left of 35.6gb and after downloading the game for like 20 minutes i notice that the free space of my ssd has now changed from 35.6gb to 35gb which is accurate because i downloaded almost like 600mb do i need to worry that after downloading like 35gb of data out of 87gb i will get the error that my ssd has now low space

i'm really not understanding this guy's problem...he has 136 gb of space and the game is taking up 106 gb?

Yes, it is normal. Steam wants to be sure you have the space free - so it claims the space necessary - and then fills it. Once the download is complete, it will do some installs though - which is another... 400-600mb for social club, r* launcher, and vcredists.

Yeah so nothing to worry that after downloading the game for another 86gb it will not eat my 35gb free which will give me error right

btw if you dont have space on your SSD and you have space on HDD , then you can install the game in your HDD . the only downside is that you have to wait 2-3 min more when the game is loading .

I only have 1 drive which is ssd on my rig but thanks for the tip

if you only have 35gb left you won't be able to download another 86gb...

Maybe the installin is 100gb + 86gb its 186gb total

Definitely not 186...About 80 - 90.

At least 90GB. But some games download and need to unpack so can take almost double the space they state is required. When they download, they unpack and take up much more space before finishing the install and deleting those extra files.

Ohh this is a big factor if should i continue my internet speed is only 10mbps so its a lot of time
