if you are still having lag spikes its probably now your RAM. its single channel 8GB you may want to change them out for 16GB dual channel (they must be the same brand etc).

I have the same problem and I have search a bit for an explanation and I think I found what the lag spikes are coming from.
When Rockstar launched the latest DLC Diamond Casino Heist threre was a bug that some players got and that bug were giving them huge lag spikes so I think that that is the reason.
I hope they will fix that soon

Well maybe its a hint for u to upgrade... if possible. At least 1 more stick of 8gb is highly recommended for dual channel.
