Any new game and some older games are going to be enhanced for the Xbox one x meaning higher res, better textures and visual settings. Problem is Gta v isn't enhanced so it looks bad on the one x right now.
The game doesn't have to be up to pc standards to look good. Though as it is right now it looks very bad. The xbox one x enhanced games look really good. Now fps, that's another story but graphics are solid.
Gta V was pretty bad. View distance was blurry and bad aliasing. The games I mentioned worked well.
As far craphics regarding GTA I'm not going to play it probably never online. I'm to used to the pc ultra and my sweet FX and reshade.
It depends on the game. Some games have the option for running at lower visuals and higher fps though I haven't tested it yet.
Not yet.
My main concern with just running an hdmi cable to the tv is a few things,
First, in order to play games on the tv I'd have to go into Nvidia control panel to use the tv to display fullscreen programs.
Next, I'd have to change audio settings to send audio to the tv instead of my computer speakers.
Nether task is difficult though they would be annoying to do every time I wanted to run something on the tv. Fact it is I'd likely play a few pc games in 4k on the tv then never touch it again. The hdmi cable would just be one more cable cluttering things up.
Though, sooner or later I will get around to it.
You can just move your PC to your TV, no need to have a long HDMI cable. Also, your PC should detect your TV's speakers, so all you really need to do is set that as your primary audio device. Also, you wouldn't have to do anything in Nvidia control panel. As long as you only have one display connected to your PC, you don't have to do anything.
Yea, hes really over complicating things. Its 2 clicks to swap audio, like 3 or so to make tv the primary display (thats if he still wants to have other monitor likely in another room on also).
Main thing is having usb extensions if u play with m/kb. If playing with controller no worrries.
I hook/unhook the bigscreen to my laptop and play all the time, not a big deal.
My main pc is happy where it's at.

Outside of that there's changing setting and all the other pia that goes with using a different display.
I just want a plug and play experience at my tv without screwing with the settings on my main rig.
plug it in your pc, then to your tv
Yeah I'll look into a 15' cable. I picked up that 25' cable when I was setting everything up though now that everything is in its place the 25' cable is way too long.
