Do the types of tires I use affect road traction?

I've been wondering this for a while if that's just a aesthetics choice or if I put offroad tires on a car it will do better in dirty terrains.

it has an effect on certain verhicle.
for example the gargoyle bike can get a speedboost with thicker backwheels
same goes for some cars with a certain ability called "tire can clip", which makes it easier for those vehicles to drive over curbs with thicker wheels like offroad or low ridertires.

Yes there is a tire for road only and off road only and there is a tire that works for road and offroad

Low rider is balanced between traction and handling, suv is balanced between acceleration and handling.

Off Road tires clip through the ground due to outdated game mechanics and give better handling and traction and prevent flipping over/losing control on bumps.

There is only one parameter, when it comes to tires and this is called "tires can clip"
if a car has this ability, it benefits from a big tiresidewall.
Best tires for these vehicles are offroad, because these have the biggest sidewall.
offroad> lowrider/tuner/muscle>sport/suv>high end

Tires have no other stats, like acceleration, traction handling etc., this is all coded to the vehicle.

Put off-roads on a vehicle like jester and compare to regular ones. Difference is more than obvious while driving over curbs. You can take corners over curbs at full speed without worries to bump and spin out.

you can't modify vigilante's tires. but it already has quite soft suspension and is heavy, so absorbs most curbs naturally.

Well this is more relevant than ever given the fact that rockstar just dopped the SNOW FOKIN EVERYWHERE update making us all have a more than torturous eperience with diring so anything that mitigates this would be wonderful.

Elegy is too slow. Nero is nice but it’s a million dollar car I think

offroad tyres makes your car take sidewalks and curbs smoother, thats it,hence why you'll see many race tryhards putting these tyres on their hypercars
