Grand Theft Auto V - LSPDFR MOD with McAfee Live Safe Issue

Hi, I have the grand theft auto v and lspdfr mod installed how ever. My McAfee Live Safe is causing blocking issues for lspdfr I have excluded it from real time scanning and fire wall but still not run. Every time still shows "Could not hook game process: Insufficient permissions or bad antivirus"

Did you install the newest ragehook AFTER installing lspdfr?
Did you exit steam, rightclick steam, run steam as admin?

There are others that needed to exclude gtav folder/.exe's from more than realtime scan. Others have blamed windows defender. Some others also needed to tweak the settings in ragehook. A few would even launch ragehook AFTER gtav was started - IIRC~

(of course - I am assuming you are doing this IN the default install folder and not some backup copy that you made to "protect" yourself from modding sp/being banned)

I found out it's 100% McAfee Live Safe Real-time Scan Cause of the issue I have added the files but that did not work so I disabled real-time scan and that made it work but need to be able to have it on any other solution

You added what to excluded? All .exe's? All .dlls? All .asi? Poking around I see complaints there is no exclude folder for realtime scanning. Unless you literally manually excluded every single file in the gtav folder/sub folders. Maybe worth a shot if you find realtime scanning to be mandatory. I don't see a whole lot of options just eyeballing manual/screenshots. Not sure how custom scheduled scans would work as a "replacement" for realtime scanning (I know I wouldn't do it).

Maybe if I get bored tomorrow I'll install and test myself (but don't count on it).

Hi there, I uninstall McAfee Lifesave and Install AVG Internet Security 2018 and now works fine so I not think will use McAfee any more

the reason is.. its know software that alters original software.. its considered malicous code to alter official software.. avg sux thats why it ddon't catch it.. webroot is fast really safe and when u call them theres a real person on the line located inside the united states.. newegg has sales for webroot often and u can get it super cheap also i know they say.. so many copies per license but u can still use same key for like 20+ devices just not there remote web stuff.. like shuting down the pc ect.. so if ur interested in real antivirus try them out sometime. just whitelist the app for whatever antivirus u use to fix the problem aswell.. mcaffee last time i tested was a resource hog so keep that in mind when gaming too. You dont really need more antivirus outside of Windows Defender unless you have a serious porn problem.

Does webroot work well with GTA 5 and LSPDFR Mod because I am not paying for it if I have same issues as what did with mcafee

You should not fully trust windows fire wall. I download lot of games on line and play games with other gamers so all ways good to have that added security
