Forgot my social club email. Steam is linked. What do?

So I havent played in years and redownloaded today. Cant remember my email so decided to makea new one. Well it says no no you can only use the socail club account connected to this steam account. Now what?

Contact R* support.
(check your spam folder - and that you haven't blocked them)

You WANT to live chat with support- give them your steam info/cdkey and sort out the problem. If you CAN'T log into the website- create a NEW social club account ON the website using a NEW email, VERIFY the NEW email, and use THAT to live chat. (you can submit a ticket - if you don't care about the wait and want to add the risk that the underpaid bot/support help incorrectly responds to you - further prolonging your issue)

Submit a ticket, platform - PC. Issue - Social club. Then you pick LIVE CHAT.
Wait for them - explain your situation, and they'll help you correct the problem.

And no - you can't just make a new one.
1 steam account = 1 cdkey = 1 social club account.

After all... why not? Why not copypasta this for the <silly number> times in last 4+ weeks? Fun stuff. There's many having 'issues' for 'reasons' - forgot email, lost email, not using correct email, got 'hacked', connectivity/corruption issue, etc. Plenty of info in the link(s) -
(including methods of contact, tickets, unlink 'info', livechat, web tickets, etc)

And of course - I'd check your emails first for the email notification that your email changed - and you can try to recover from that without contacting R*. In some cases - it won't work because the email is already used on a 'new'/useless/no game account. To which, you change that one to release the old email, for use in the recovery link.


TL;DR TL;DR or / LAZY - use this link below to contact R* without logging in to RECOVER your account/fix/change email to one you have access to. Yep, many hoops to jump to prove you are the owner, have the steam account, cdkey etc, and days to wait/repeat yourself -

So I contacted them and their live chat only had like a 15 second wait. lucky me. The guy was very helpful. Made me prove my identity a bunch of ways then reset everything for me. All in all a surprisingly pleasant experience. If only the game itself were that smooth.

they will frequently take it down, you can try a normal support ticket and maybe wait till later in the day to see if they bring back the right live chat option.

I found a soulution to the problem! All you gotta do if steam is linked, is to open upp the rockstar social app then protend that you are going to buy a game! The Email that the account is bound to should be already filled in the billing info! :) (work for me, had the same problem, and Rockstar wornt reply to my tickets...)

This was genius! after hours of trying to figure it out, I tried this, then selected lost password, changed it and bingo bongo = finally can get into my stupid account! legend
