I solved the issue with Social Club linked account error

Basically, you don't remember the username or the email.

• Go to Documents/Rockstar Games/Social Club/socialclub.txt

• Your user name should be listed somewhere in it. Normally by the end of it. Search for. "Signed in online to profile:"•

• Go to http://socialclub.rockstargames.com and log in using that nickname. Password must contain at least one capital letter.

• Find out the e-mail it was linked to.

• Log in Social Club's Launcher using that email and accept the ToS. Join gta.world.

But the real question is: why did this happen? Is there some changes, except this captcha?

The real problem is that rockstar never actually sends you a password recovery email no matter how many times you ask so even if you do find out which email it is it won't matter. I've had to rely on steam auto-logging in to play gtav for years because of it and now everyone thats relied on that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Really? Because I have the username on file and I'm not seeing how "it will tell me what email they sent me the password recovery". There is no option to enter your username to reset your password, only your email, and if you don't know the email it's not going to work. Please show me where i'm wrong.

lol. Okay. Well luckily I remembered what email I used so I was able to reset my pw. Good luck to anyone who can't remember their email.

You gotta remember either the email or the password. With the password you can get in and check the email to log in. With the email you can recover the password. But you need at least one of those. I saw your first comment, and edited my post again, it was late and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up with the explanation.

I always use the same few passwords, so no it was no issue.

yes there were some changes to their privacy policy, I suspect they prolly want to cover their asses with red shell.

Was it working in the first place? if not try to add all applications you may find that are related to GTA V to your firewall's exception list. It's unlikely it's that and your probably messed with something you shouldn't.

Yes you do, that's how the game is installed on every computer. If you don't have it you may have uninstalled Social Club or you are trying the wrong user.

1) Verify Integrity by right clicking GTA V on your Library, Properties, Local Files and Verify Integrity. THen run the game so it installs.

2) When I said C:\Users\User\Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club I sais USER in caps because it changes depending on who's using the computer. If my user name is Palo it'll be C:\Users\Palo\Documents... make sure you're looking on the right place.
