Whats the difference between Steam Gta 5 and from example Instant Gaming for social Club?

So i also want to know if you could play with your friends from steam if you buy it from social club or rockstar games? Thx :)

there is no difference besides steam achievements. steam still connects through rockstar social club.

Yup, as both versions conect to the same "server". And, to play with your friends, you´ll need their Rockstar´s Social Club ID. Everyone must have a Social Club ID, even the ones playing from steam.

Social CLub itself is not linked to your steam account, but you can link them. But linking your steam acount (or Xbox/PS account) just add them to the bottom of your social club profile, or something like that, idk.

imo some pros for steam version. steam download servers are more reliable, having double drm safer, you can join your friends directly through steam, its good for lazy people who don't want to store million accounts/passwords when everything can be done by steam. it used to be more expensive, but now price is quite okish on steam too.

I bought the regular boxed version at launch (something like 6 DVD wtff). Since then I got fed up having to carry a 80Gb download from rockstar social crap each time i was installing the game again. Got the game again for 20 bucks during winter sales, now i just have to double click on the steam library, i'm enjoying the game again. Totally worth.

guys i need help too.. i bought gta5 on instant gaming and activated it through social club.. but i need it to show it as i have this game on steam.. i'm playing through Boosteroid.com and there it need to be checked that you bought game..
