Hi Psykoteky,

I have already following all your advice on the other topic, but without succes ...
Regarding your link, i am blocked at the first step, i can modifie the name of the host, he told me that i need a system authorization ...
Also, for the appmanifest, i have cut and copy your appmanifest (for have a original master of the app ??)

Verifying cache gives you the appmanifest. Appmanifest isn't in the above - that I recall...

As for hosts- try renaming it in windows safemode.
(or open an admin command prompt and try to rename it that way)
(at prompt ---- cd\windows\system32\drivers\etc <enter> then ren hosts hosts-hold)

Or, skip to step 5, 2, 3, 4.....1

And - a link regarding someone else with the same problem that fixed it. Sadly, the "uninstalled / removed everything gtav - and reinstalled it" was the path taken. It is not necessary - you can hand uninstall/repair/reinstall gtav and its requirements. The link/steps/etc handle that. -.- Who knows what else happened waiting to reinstall gtav.

Have the same problem.....- how did you actually solve the problem ??

I had this exact same problem. I found out my hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc was corrupted. I just renamed it to hosts.corrupt and then GTA started like normal. Still download a good virus scanner and check for virusses though.

Which is literally step 1 in the first link here.

I know that, just confirming what solved it for me.

People I've found the solution.. It's easier than expected, actually you don't have to do any commands or reinstall anything. So this morning I started having this problem and this very morning solved it aswell (by myself):

-Open the game and let it load until its stuck at "You are about to open a link ''about:blank'' in an external browser. Would you like to proceed?".
-Open Task Manager.
-Kill ALL "Social Club UI" processes. If they are a lot, or they respawn, kill them again! Until the game freezes into a complete black screen.
-Keep killing processes and then it will load the Rockstar Games Social Club Launcher once again but this time showing* a "loading..." (probably it will say Offline Mode).

The game will launch like nothing happened once again.

*It may show another thing too, depends on each computer. The thing is that if you just follow the steps in the launcher you will get into the game normally.

@Renderman, the one you sent that should work doesnt.
Any help?
"Verify integrity of game files..." may temporary solve the problem

Facing this problem recently but luckily i have sloved it.
this method required 10mins before every time i launch the game.
1. just simply right click on the game ( game on left column game list), click properties
2. under "Local Files" panel, click "Verify integrity of game files..." and wait it verify ur files, this should take 10 mins
3. after it's done u can launch the game again, and u will be seeing " first time launch game ... something and it will be reinstalling the Social club again
4. after the social club reinstall is done it should be temporary fixed

if u faced this problem during next start up just redo the procedure since its just temporary solution.... Good luck

There's a suuuuuper easy fix for this first:

- Go to the windows search bar and type "Socialclub_Launcher" Right click and open location

- go to cache and clear the Browser settings and the images

And thats it you're ready to go!

P.S If it does it again just do the same thing.
