GTA V Error "No Directx10 or 11 adapter found."
I'm at my wits end with trying to figure out this damn thing, it WAS running just fine before Windows 10 had an update, I have the requirements for the game, I've updated the driver that needed to be updated, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I'm not uber tech savy, but I've have basic common sense on TRYING to figure out what I can do, I've read so many articles and they all tell me to update my drivers, however I refuse to uninstall and reinstall them because it's too complicated for me. I just wanna know if there's an easy way out of this thing. Thanks all

Google your gpu drivers - do not use the stuff windows autoinstalls.
Use DDU in windows safemode, to uninstall your gpu drivers.
(sometimes, you can use in windows normal mode.. if it doesn't work, use safemode)
Then install the gpu drivers you downloaded.
Then open steam/steamapps/common/gtav/_commonredist/directx/jun2010
Rightclick dxsetup - run as admin. Restart computer when finished.
Try gtav.

Possibly still doesn't work? Grab this-

Rightclick - run as admin. (it moves all your directx files out to 2 folders).
--Then--
Grab this - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
Rightclick - run as admin. "Should not" need a restart - I still suggest it.
Try gtav again.

Added Toothless - explained - fixed. Hour or so after original post.

That's one of the first things you should do in a case like this, unfortunately. It's not as hard as it seems.

Thanks, I'm just nervous about doing it, I've read it basically deletes everything on your computer, is that wrong?

What's complicated?

Find and download the proper driver, uninstall the current one, reboot, install the new one, reboot.

It only removes the driver for your video card. Nothing to do with the rest of your computer. And windows will use the default driver until you reinstall/install the correct one.

Never said I excpected magic, but I guess I was prepared to get slammed by a bunch of pricks because I don't know my way around my laptop.

Nice not even two minutes into the video I'm lost because they've changed the website...
Frog Mar 26, 2018 @ 3:35pm
Can anyone give me the real link to download DDU?
