[SOLVED] GTA 5 | Game not detecting my music in-game (AKA. CUSTOM RADIO FEATURE NOT WORKING) [MARCH 2018] [POST #42]
As you can probably see from the title I need help with the custom radio in Grand Theft Auto 5, I have checked discussions on many websites including steam, yet I cannot find a solution.
I have tried many options such as putting shortcuts in the User Music folder and starting up Grand Theft Auto and performing quick and full scan for music, but nothing seems to work. I also tried putting the actual music in the User Music folder but that didn't seem to work either.
I have tried mostly every tutorial out there on the internet and I am starting to get really♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥off at this feature.
I would be really thankful if somebody helped me on this topic.
BTW: My files are in .WAV format

EDIT:
This problem is now solved, for answers look @ post #42

What is the exact folder you are putting your music into? (shortcut, or files) Others in the past have had issues - because they were using Onedrive, and were using the wrong directory - though it appeared correct. Just asking~

I have a folder in the directory of "This PC --> downloads --> music" I have my main music files there, and from there I pasted the shortcuts to "This PC --> Documents --> Rockstar Games --> GTA V --> User Music" I also tried putting the actual music files in the User Music folder as well but that didn't seem to work.

BTW. Thanks for replying fast! 😃

Navigate to c \ users \ <user name> \ documents \ rockstar games \ gtav \ user music
Do you see your music there? Is that what it says in the location bar across the top?
Or.. click that / copy/paste it here.

Put your music - there, and try.
Just tested it myself - saw/played music just fine.

This is where I have my mp3s, not using shortcuts. What format are your tracks? Weird compression or codecs or anything?

I don't think that will help becasue its essentially the same place as the User Music folder.
But... I will try though

No, it isn't. You said you put your music somewhere.
I directed you to the folder/direct version of the proper location.
You said your music was not there.
Therefore - they are not the same.

Post 3 and 4.

its not there, i tried it, both perform quick and full scan for music

Then either it don't like your files - or you are still in the wrong place.
C:\Users\*username*\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\User Music
I put mine here - and it works perfectly.

They also state non-DRM'd.
