Are the single player mods safe to use?
Hi there, partners in crime! As the title says, i have a questions regarding the mods for the single player. As a huge fan of John Wick i want to use his mod, but i fear that this will lead me to a ban in the online mode. So, if i use that single player mod and play ONLY the single player without EVER going online, will i be banned anyway somehow? Or maybe i need to launch gtav in offline mode to be sure? Thanks for those who will help me!

And if you really wanted, you could make 2 copies of the folder, and mod one - leave another vanilla - and swap back and forth whenever you wanted. 1 guide of many -

And if you are really concerned about going online accidentally (despite scripthook crashing out)..
You can put a commandline.txt in your gtav folder, and put " -scofflineonly " inside of it.

If you even try to load into online even accidentally its a 30 day ban then a permanent ban for a second offense. Just enjoy the mod and keep that ♥♥♥♥ away from offline, we don't like mods online and we never will. If you wanna play online with mods download FiveM, but I'm not acussing you of anything we just hate hackers in our community. A simple john wick reskin for probably michael is fine. You'll get banned if you bring it online but if you stay in singleplayer you are good.

Safe in SP, unsafe in MP.

Hi Super Boa and thank you for you answer! I'm a honest player and I never use cheats or mods online in any game, the skin I wanted to use was just for the single player. I read that to avoid ban online once you modded gtav you have to uninstall the game, delete the mod files and reinstall a clean version, but I'm ok with this since I played a lot online and for a while 'think of playing gta 5 only in single player with some mod. Can't wait to use John Wick! :MMForFun:

Hi psykoteky and thank you so much for your answer so detailed: it was just what I was looking for!!
You saved me half a day of download in case i will want to go online without deleting everything, and reassured me about putting the game offline with that simple trick to make sure that i'll never go online by accident when using mods. You are a hero, sir! :steamhappy:
