Moving cracked files to steam folder?
I downloaded pirated version to just check whether it will run on my potato or not and it works fine, so I bought it and wondering if I could simply copy paste those files to steam apps folder by deleting cracked DLLs and exes ? I got slow connection which will take month to download it. Anyone have did this?

Do u mean that appmanifest file? If so I have that too downloaded from another thread
Yes that file. place it in the right place, copy the game folder to the respective folder, restart Steam, verify game cache files and enjoy. There's 0 chance of being banned since all modified files are replaced after this proccess.
Thank you!

I mean... if you bought the game, you won't get banned. A while ago I modded my Fallout 4 to hell, and the Texture Files got corrputed, making the game unplayable. I downloaded the files, got a Pirating Strike AND Banned from playing it (I couldn't even launch it) and once I explained my story they removed all that. As long as you own the game, then they'll USUALLY let it slide. So OP, if you did it to test to see if it'd work, I'm sure they'd be fine since I see you DO own the game.

I thought Fallout 4 was single player only. Why would they ban you?

For pirating the game, I guess it was Bethesda that did it. I honestly don't even know how/why they did xD

Modding and pirating are two different things though.

I mean it's rockstar, they are currently enjoying banning everyone whose name comes under their ban button xD

you do realize that game comes with its own unique CD key right? So is my question answer you question??? eventhough I am not legitimately answering your question

I suggest that you don't try it.
You don't really know what extra files those warez crackers have added to that folder.
And Steam's file verification doesn't remove extra files, only redownloads manipulated ones.

Seeing that you actually paid for the game, after first using and unlicensed copy, you really don't want to risk a ban, do you?

Just suck it up, delete all remnants from the unlicensed copy with it's cracked files, and redownload the game again through Steam - overnight if necessary.

lol nice admit to pirating a game, which is a crime, on the steam forums. you played yourself.
You Can move the files to the folder but VALIDATE THE FILES before you launch.

just install the files into steam folder
dont miss the acf file from gta
https://steamcommunity.com/app/271590/discussions/0/611703898451859685/?l=german

normal warez have always vanilla files with the option to install the malicious stuff
you still need to download alot of stuff if it is a release version
The gta folder has grown to 75gb over the years

The game performance will also change when it isnt the latest version of the game
they added tons of stuff and again release version wont behave as the latest version of the game
especially on low end hardware
