Are equipment upgrades for MC businesses worth it?

There's usually enough time in between me logging off and then getting back online later in the day or the next day to where my businesses have made enough progress for making products, so I didn't think it would be necessary unless you are going for constantly selling while you are online.

Has anyone here actually bough the equipment upgrades?

MC business doesn't make product while you are offline.

Yes, they are worth it, product will give more money

I did. The personnel upgrade is the best. The equipment upgrade is good, too. I encountered captured workers just once, don't think security upgrade is worth it, but if you stock lots of product it will be handy. And of course these upgrades will pay for itself after a month or so, quicker if you play every day.

Equipment and staff upgrade are exactly the same but whit different prices. If you have 1, decent money boost, if you got both, big money boost

Security upgrade cuts the chances for a raid down. Combine payouts for all 5 mc business. Over 75m 3 raid total. I have a friend no security, gets raided all time. At least 1 per log in day. Sometimes 3x in a real day.

Is it pretty obvious if you get raided or is it like a surprise once you check in on a business and it seems kind of lonely?

You can get raided only if you are in a MC, you doing no missions and your fabric has atleast 1 bar of product.
When you get raided, you get a call from PLJ asking to do a mission, that usually is go, kill some cops and bring a truck to fabric.
Security upgrade is useless, you still get raided, I tested it, so save that money for other upgrades. 1 good way to avoid raids is disband MC while you are doing no missions.
