Bug in heist, can't start 4th prep-mission in 4th Lester heist

So I started hosting and playing Lester’s heists with my friends, and all was good until we reached heist number 4. We did the first 3 prep-missions of the heist, and after finalizing the 3rd one, a friend crashed his game, so he joined my session again to continue doing the prep-missions.

But when I tried to start the next mission, I lost connection while loading and the server kicked me out of GTA Online. Upon returning to GTA Online back again, I get the same error all the time about the mission not being possible to download and it won't load the mission, kicking my friends out of the mission as well with the same error message.

So after several tries, I decided to cancel the heist and start again from the beginning. We did the first three prep-missions again, apparently the bug was fixed but after finishing the 3rd mission during the results screen, my friend crashed his game with no error message, just application hang. So he joined my session and we tried again. But then again, I lost connection and the error poped up one more time when I tried to start the 4th prep-mission, kicking my friends from the prep-mission and me from GTA Online. This happened in different days, and we don't want to repeat the whole process again.

I've tried to host the prep-mission on my own as well and the same happens.

If someone could help us figure out what is happening and how to fix it, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Well, Saps, many thanks for that. Though I can't understand how is this even possible. Since when has been this happening? I hope is a recent bug and not something from a year ago, because that would mean Rockstar doesn't give an actual ♥♥♥♥ about it.

I see, I Googled a bit about it and seems recent. I hope they patch it soon, as it seems it happens with some other heists.

Delete the folder inside of my documents/rockstar games/gtav/profiles saving cfg.dat on your desktop. after logging in and verifying that this worked replace cfg.dat file

dude no need to necro dead corpse from 2018

it was a language issue cause by release of doomday dlc.
it made it impossible to play certain old heist preps for everyone with a foreign language beside english
was fixed in march 2018 with the next update

same ♥♥♥♥ happened later again with latin american spanish

Not a dead issue, this is very common now with new fix, so no use in starting new post. By the way, you should not attack someones character without doing research first, just saying.

your issue is a different one so create your own post, this problem was solved in march 2018

btw i played all heist during the event without known issues, just some common desynch bugs like not responding npc's

please enlight me about these new old troublemakers?

First of all enlightenment has nothing to do with this post. Enlightenment is to see your own enslavement and to see that the only path to freedom is through GOD and HIS law. Secondly, I just encountered the bug twice in this week. If you are not getting it great, good for you. Perhaps there are others of us still getting this annoying bug that has not been solved, because the old remedy no longer works. Good day.
