Allow Others to Hear your Self Radio?
In case you're here to wonder if you can or not, no. Friends or whoever else is in your car cannot hear your self radio. I tested this with my boyfriend. I was playing Rhinestone Eyes by Gorillaz, he was hearing Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas. I don't think it's a case of you hear your own music, because he know and loves that song but he has never added custom music to GTAV in general.

I was just wondering, lets say I give him the llink to download Rhinestone Eyes and he puts it in his custom music file too, and I put it on self radio, will we both hear it whenever it plays?

It will play their self radio and if they don't have self radio, it will switch to your most listened radio station. There is no way to allow others to hear your 'self radio' I wish they added something like this. And it plays the music at random, so even if your friend has the same song, you both dont hear it at the same time.

It will have the be the only song in the radio station and it might not start the song from the beginning, but yes that will work

It should play your music in your friends game... huge misstep by rockstar.

Also spotify should sync to the in game radio.

Come on rockstar.

I know I'm like YEARS late, but obviously this is not Rockstar's fault friend, I wish that too but they just can't deal with all the copyright problems a live custom music share function would bring to the table, sadly we won't ever get something like that if not by a 3rd party mod or something (which would be probably banned if used in multiplayer)

That's why mods exist, to cover the dreams of players that companies can't do for legal purposes, we are able of adding whatever mods without fearing legal issues, but if gta 6 for example, had this function, every player would be listening to every song in the world bringing Rockstar to a HUGE problem
