Peyote Plants Gone?
So how do we unlock those animal actors in Director Mode now? Any way to access them, or are they perma-locked for anyone who just started playing the game?

arent all director mode actors unlocked in storymode by talking to them and completing the storyline ?

Usually, but so far as I know I'm not likely to be talking to animals. Trevor IS pretty weird, but not that crazy!
So far as I know you have to eat the plants to have a hallucination and turn into the animals, which then unlock. But no plants = no unlock. Unless they only removed that in GTA:O, but I can't find any.

hmm, I havent cared to bother enough with all achievements that dont mean anything in terms of unlocks so im not 100% certain but i believe peyote plants are available in storymode once youve unlocked 100% completlion

100% completion needed? I haven't read that as being a prerequisite for the Peyote missions anywhere...

from the wiki

A Peyote Plant is a collectible featured in the enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto V. It can be consumed by the player. Named after the real-life Peyote cactus which contains psychoactive properties, this plant seemingly has some sort of hallucinogenic effect on the protagonist's brain and body once taken.

Collecting the 21 Land-based Peyote Plants will unlock all the controllable animals and award the player the Cryptozoologist achievement.

After the Freemode Events Update, the Peyote plant hunt was expanded upon.

If a player has completed the game 100%, including The Last One side-mission and has found all 27 Peyote Plants, golden Peyote plants will appear, one in a different location for each day of the week but only from 5:30 to 8:00 AM in the morning and only when there is snowy or foggy weather.

Eating these golden plants will turn the player into the Bigfoot.
The player needs to eat each of the golden Peyote plants in order from Sunday to Saturday.

That's what I thought, only I can't find any at all. Not sure if they don't appear till I get to a certain point in the story (I'm not very far along yet).

Only the golden plants need 100% completion then, makes sense. The others should still be accessible in SP... Thanks guys.

Exactly why I want to find the plants, Trevor is really funny tripping as an animal! So I must not be far enough into the story for them to appear in my game, if you can find them but I can't. Must be a mission unlocks them or something.

it says something about enhanced version, i think its from merging your socialclub account with an old console account which no longer is possible if im not mistaken.

Enhanced version is PC and current gen consoles...
SmallArchangel Nov 21, 2019 @ 7:33am
I'm on PC so that shouldn't be a problem. I've never had a social club account associated with a console so it can't be that, either.

what i was referring to might be completely irrelevant, concerning some exclusive cars, aircraft and some few minor things that later on i believe became available to everyone or at least the duke of death as far as im aware.

cant find peyote among those things so its probably available to everybody

Just to add that I finally found a Peyote - I think I was following the wrong map. My guess is the online locations were different and a lot of maps have been made for GTA:O and it is not always clear that it only pertains to the online Peyotes (which are no longer there anyway).

For anybody wanting to know, this guide lists locations for Story Mode: https://uk.ign.com/wikis/gta-5/Peyote
