starting the game from steam: it opens the launcher and it just closes and nothing happens.
from the launcher: i sign in, but only get a button that says "BUY NOW" and i cant even click it, there is a text below saying "this function is not available now, please try later"
another way: i tried starting the launcher, and then started the game from steam. The launcher signs in my account but shows up "Error 7002.1"
idk what to do
First try the "verify game files" in steam to make sure all your files are up to date
I did find this for you:
https://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/97420-new-launcher-error-70021/
someone posted that they got it to work with a reinstall from the launcher, not sure if that will work with a steam account
i already verified game files, there is no problem there.
the problem is when i login, i don't get the "play on steam", instead i get "buy now" like if i didn't buy it or linked my Steam account to Social Club, but i did, i mean, if i go to social club web page, in "linked accounts" section, it shows my steam account.
(btw thanks for helping)
Hey Valentindlr1,
Did you try scanning in R* Launcher? In R* launcher go to settings (the gear icon) and there is a "scan for games" button. If the game is installed in steam, hitting that button should find it and your R* Launcher screen will then have a "play on steam" button on the GTA V screen.
Good luck getting it to work though, it seems to be crashing for at least some people, myself included. I cannot get it to launch regardless of whether I try it from Steam, from the R* Launcher or from the icon on my desktop :(
i hope we can find a solution :(
I have thought about signing in from a web browser, but every time I try to access the social club website, it says
“Signin.rockstargames.com took too long to respond”

Thank you for contacting with Rockstar Support.
We are sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the Launcher. Do not worry, this issue could be resolved in 3 steps:
- Perform a Clean boot of your PC. Below are the steps:
1. Press the [Windows] key, type 'MSConfig' and press [Enter] (without quotes)
2. Under the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click ‘Open Task Manager’
3. Under the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click ‘Disable.’
4. Close the Task Manager. Under the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, enable the ‘Hide all Microsoft services’ checkbox, and then click ‘Disable all’
5. Under the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click ‘OK,’ and then reboot/restart your PC
- Disable Firewall for Domain, Public and Private networks:
1. Select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Firewall & network protection. Open Windows Security settings.
2. Select a network profile.
3. Under Windows Defender Firewall, switch the setting to Off.
- Disable Avast Anti-Virus application temporarily:
1. Right-click on the Avast orange icon in the Windows system tray.
2. Select Avast shields control and select for how long you want to disable it.
3. Confirm by clicking Yes on the dialog.
These steps listed above should solve the issue. However, if this persists, you will need to provide us with your Dxdiag and Msinfo files following these steps:
1) Press the Windows key + "R" on your keyboard> Type dxdiag> Click Accept> Click Save all the information.
2) Press the Windows key + "R" on your keyboard> Type msinfo32> Click Accept> Select file and the save.
Thank you for your patience and collaboration, we are awaiting for your response.
