Does Benny's workshop engine parts affect performance?
Obviously EMS increases speed, but I mean the specific engine parts?

Nope, those are strictly cosmetic. Also, most Bennys vehicles are slower after the conversion. Only exceptions I'm aware of are the Sabre Turbo Custom and Nero Custom.

Elegy Retro Custom is the only one I can think of that gets slower and slightly worse handling too.
But I mostly compare the lowriders, as I've been away from the game for ~2 years. And none of them were really stellar, or even competitive within their class even back then (Sabre Turbo Custom the only real exception)

But as asked and answered, Benny's is almost only for looks, engine parts only for looks.

I do agree and the customization choices there can be amazing. I also very much enjoy how the Itali GTB Custom drives even if the change hobbled its speed ever so slightly.

I'm currently mainly rolling in a discrete Primo Custom, almost no insane bling or changes seen from the outside. It's quite bad at ..well, everything, but it's bad with some style at least :coolthulhu::shotgunDA:

Benny's were/are a huge money-sink, that can only be beaten by the arena customs, and it's possible to drive out from there without looking like a pimp on LSD :adoriginal:

(But to get normal white lights you still need the arena workshop. (Totally worth it to not have to use xenon lights :happycthulhu:))

Yeah, I personally can't stand Xenons on classic cars. Those white ones from the Arena are now applied to most everything I own.
