What's really annoying in the game are the cheaters and the glitch-exploiters. That's illegal. And that's what you should be complaining about, not the MK2's.
And to those who jumped into conclusions that MK2's are Rockstar's way of forcing you to buy shark cards, then you are a fool. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. I bought businesses and maze properties using money from import/export. The last one I bought is a facility and I still have $3M to spare. No shark cards for me. Only lazy people think that Rockstar is forcing them to buy shark cards. Jesus Christ you really want to buy shark cards...you're just looking for an excuse.
not that rockstar is forcing you buy sharkcards but its the mk2 griefing that's either endlessly killing players with no chance of fighting back or destroying cargo is what will put pressure on the victim to buy the sharkcards.
Oppressor MK2's are not that formidable if you ask me. Been killing players with oppressors simply by going on foot and blowing them up from the sky with explosive rounds and atomizer. I even killed players with oppressors by luring them in tunnels and placing proximity mines from my insurgent. Of course, in the hands of a pro, oppressors mk2 are dangerous. But so are other weapons and vehicles. Pros can turn even the most innocent Faggio into a weapon of war. It's just that, mk2's are the favorite of griefers because it's a hype, everybody else is using it, almost everyone has access to it, and little knowledge on how to counter it. Just the same as in any other game. There are characters or skills that are OP at first, but then when you learn to counter them, they become useless. For newbies, there's always the option to do business in empty public lobbies. It's easy to have a lobby of your own. There are a lot of tutorials online about it. For others who prefer full lobbies (don't even know why you want to do business shipment in full lobbies), there's always the option to use ghost organization...or at least plan out your routes... or improve your own skills in fighting these griefers. Unlike glitchers and cheaters, MK2's can be countered. Watch TheProfessional on Youtube. He complains a lot about almost anything on GTA Online but he makes good points and helpful tips on how to counter MK2's. Like I said, no need to purchase shark cards if you know how to legally make money in GTA Online.
Abuse?
That's exactly why R☆ added this overpowered vehicle to the continuous lineup of powerful stuff.
Specifically to make people try to obtain one too, be it by grinding the game, or better, by purchasing Shark Cards - you know, their sole business model.
Also, nomen est omen.
They cycnically named those vehicles "Oppressor" for a reason.
What a nonsense no experienced griefer would follow in a tunnel, while knowing mines exist ....
atomizer can be easily dodged and you are dead before the reload time for your second shot is rdy, it is a super slow projectile. it is literally same scenario as using rpgs vs hydra in 2015.
explosive rounds are better but this vehicle is still pretty fast and tiny.
the research for this method will consume min 12 million, if you are unlucky.
The griefer would also simply call for new bike and is in no time back at your tail, while you slowly run out of ammo for the sniper. 10 wasted shots for a kill is a good ratio.
Yeah, I feel you. I sold every super car I had except for the T20 so that I could buy the Akula. Best decision I have made so far.
And you're actually missing the point. Like I said, anything can be dangerous in the hands of a pro. Not all oppressor users are pro. Majority are noobs preying on players weaker than them. What you can do is simply upgrade your skills and your arsenal. You can grind in empty public sessions. Like I said, it is easy to get a session of your own. I did it so I think everyone else can do it. It doesn't take much skill to grind more money in empty public sessions. You only need common sense.
And regarding what you said about MK2's being hard to hit? If you are on foot, MK2's cannot lock on to you. So they will try to barrage you with missiles or dive bomb on you. When they do this, they need to be steady or fly in a straight line. That's your cue. You don't shoot MK2's while they are dodging in the air. Why would you even shoot MK2's flying like crazy? Like I said, upgrade your skills, and maybe some common sense too.
What's more dangerous are the cheaters and modders. A rank 10 modder can easily defeat a rank 500 non-cheating player. Unlike MK2's, there are no counter-measures for cheaters. You are simply at their mercy. You can't even fight back when they remove your guns and lock you out of your own vehicle. And that's where your hatred should be focused on, not on MK2's.
The days where people whined when they used Armored Kuruma's getting destroyed with explosives, that was perfect, how about every armored vehicle we add during upcoming updates, add them boost and flares at the same time, im sure that's fun for one side.
Without that, Passing popping, Marksman Rifle me to death with trash talking is the only tactic. At least I could respect being flanked but naahh..
