Game mainly uses 1-2 cores. Even the best gaming cpu's peaks a couple cores out and drops gpu usage (like even on my oldish 1070 can't maintain 60 fps with Ultra settings due to gpu usage dropping, aka cpu bottleneck).
You could always lower resolution and run DX10, might help...some.
How do I know how many cores my CPU is using to run this game?
It'll use more cores, but mainly 1, so per core performance matters drastically.
Open task manaager and tell cpu to display logical processors instead of overal uti.
