GTAO: How do I get access to heists?
From what it seems, I think I just buy one of the facilities in the Maze Bank Foreclosures site?

But if so, how can I get access to that much money? That sounds like a lot of mindless grinding in the repeatable missions.

Unless if I could instead just buy a Clubhouse and get access to another heist instead of Lester's, I don't know.

welcome to gtao, where mindless grinding is what most people call fun.

bring up your phone and look for the option to quickly join a heist.
You need a high end apartment for old-school heists.
You need a facility for the doomsday heist.
Motorcycle clubhouses give you access to motorcycle club businesses.
CEO office gives you access to CEO businesses.
Bunkers give you access to the bunker business and allow you to research MK2 weapons and vehicle weapons for weaponized vehicles.

It is a lot of mindless grinding if that is what you do. OR you can mix things up. Your choice.

I Googled around a bit, and apparently I was supposed to get a high-end apartment to get the most basic heist that's a tutorial one. So I got the cheapest one labeled high-end ($200,000) since it was the most affordable.

But I'm not getting anything further, and I can't even find the apartment I bought.

So... Past the grinding for the apartment, how do I even find the apartment I bought?

Alrighty, I wanna start just the old-school one then, since there's $200,000 high-end apartments instead of ones that cost millions.

use the "m" key and cycle through the auto gps (at the top) till you find your apartment.

Ah, thanks to you both! I found the apartment.

Though... I'm not getting anything further on just the tutorial heist. Do I need to wait a while? Since I have a high-end apartment now, and am past level 12, but I'm not getting anything.

The first grind is the hardest grind.

If your googling brought you to someone who advised that an apartment for heists was the smartest first purchase, I strongly disagree with that person, but it's too late now. You're going to find everything but the first heist (which won't cover the cost of the apartment) to be extremely difficult and frustrating to complete, especially considering that you're new and probably don't have a network of friends.

With a facility you get Doomsday Heists, which only require 2 people rather than 4 people. Most of them are pretty straightforward to complete, although there's always one tough one sprinkled into each set, and the last finale has one tough section. There's still a learning curve, but even though they're labelled as another level above the old school heists, I consider them much easier.

What you really want to do to grind money initially is join Repo and Dispatch missions that pop up on your phone. Then you want to spend $1 million on the cheapest CEO office space, then $1.5 million on the cheapest vehicle warehouse. Once you figure out the vehicle import/export business, the grind starts getting much faster as you're doing pretty simple missions for $80k each every 15 minutes or so, instead of potentially wasting hours trying to fill and complete a heist setup mission for nothing. It's that first $2.5 million to get to this point that's tough.

Update: I got it, I just bought the wrong one. Which when reading the most recent post... Shows to be a bit of a bad idea, haha. But as he said, too late now.

Yeah, that sounds about right, from what I've seen.

I see. Hmm, I have a few acquaintances playing it, and one level 130+ person who was willing to play with me for some reason. But I'll keep that in mind then.

Alright, I prefer a challenge anyways, heh.

Yikes, been doing that for a while in the initial thing, but I guess not enough. I have roughly a million dollars at the moment.

$1.5m on the cheapest vehicle warehouse? I saw some for a few hundred thousand. Or do they require some sort of special thing to them? Unless if you mean in the Maze Bank foreclosures site, and not the real estate site.

But yeah, that sounds good otherwise. I still wanna do some tough heists though, even if they're difficult. But I guess I'll look to that as a "fun" thing rather than "money" thing, I guess.
