Transfer game progress and achievements from social club to steam?

I have bought the retail version of GTAV years ago when it came out and still have it installed with the Rockstar Games Social Club version
During the summer sale i bought the steam version aswell (just to have it in my steam library) and am installing that now.

Question is; Once the steam version is done installing and i will login to social club with my already existing RGSC account, will it transfer the progress and most importantly the achievements? Since all of that is stored in the cloud of RGSC...
Has anybody done this before?

Just to be clear; i'm NOT asking about the transfer of my GTA Online character, since i already know that will go just fine.

it was reported to work multiple times. afaik it can be a problem only if you have some other games in steam linked to social club acc. otherwise should be good.

I don't have any other games linked to social club. So achievements that i've already completed in the retail (non-steam) version will also be completed in steam once i've logged into my existing social club account? Thanks for the quick response by the way!

It will not. I had a lot of XBOX360 achievements-none moved over.

I don't think that's thesame since you transferred from XBOX 360 to PC. I already have the PC version in retail, and am now transferring to the steam PC version. So basically PC > PC...

Just finished download and i can confirm this works, all achievements were unlocked at first startup.

If it works thesame as GTA then you can just launch the steam version and login with your social club account. The achievements will then be unlocked upon first startup. If it works different for Max Payne then maybe you should open an new thread. Hope this helps!
