How do they do it... Cops finding me
Ok, so I looked and no one has, to my knowledge, asked/answered this question... How the F do the cops find you if you are nowhere near the crime and not visible to them.

For example, start a 3-4 star cop fight. Start to run/drive/fly away and stars blink. I like to hide in the tunnel construction off the freeway. I go down there and hide, inside one of the concrete tubes. Cops were not aware of me and stars were blinking, and stay blinking.
But the question is... how/why do they congregate right above me on the streets above and the helis are also circling same exact area.

Stars eventually go away because they cannot 'see' me but if I am nowhere near the crime, like I whacked a NPC and they start coming, how do they know I am now in that tunnel? I have no items being sold/tracked.

I am not visible to them according to stars blinking, so WTF?

So confooooosed. Is it Big Brother? A God that tells them where I am? A 4400 ability? (LOL)

Simple. They're scripted that way. When ever a player is wanted the police are scripted to spawn near the player, no matter how far from the initial site.

your characters have Smart Phones, means the government knows where you are.. at all times. They know where you sleep, they know everything.

Anyway, when I need a ride I just shoot someone so the cops will bring me a cool car.

- Cops will spot you if you still driving with the car you've spotted by them 1st time to begin with. Change the vehicle with NPC's vehicle or CEO vehicle if possible.
- Any security or guard will hostile on you if you're in wanted mode. They can also alert your presence to the police too.

Your Phone has a tracker, so that is how they find you, in fact EVERYBODY has A phone.
Case inquiry close.

Then why would they stop chasing you?

LOL! All great replies.

Yes, I know it's scripted that way, just weird. Like how I can be on the other side of a mountain and one damn cop will walk all the way up and over just to find me. Meanwhile the star just flashed slower and slower, seemingly endlessly so he can find me.

Heh heh, other times I will be 'hiding' (rt bumper) and a cop will walk right past me and not see me.

It's a game, i know. The 'everyone has a phone' idea is probably the best, second would be all npc's are snitches.

It's just a 'feature' I don't get fully, like why i pay for research, bunker, employees to make stuff to sell but I have to PAY to buy my own product to fill my ammo or add explosive rounds. It just isn't right but hey, WTH, right?

Thanks all.
