Character corrupted

Around a year back, I started GTA Online. I was in character creation screen, I don't think I ever completed that and had to quit the game for some reason. I then relaunched GTA Online and the screen saying that my character has been corrupted shows up. I try to overwrite my character but it also fails to overwrite saying there has been some kind of cloud error. I contacted R* support a couple of times only to get automated messages which were not helpful. I lost interest, uninstalled it and forgot about it.

Now I decided to give it another go. I'm again facing with the same issue which I was facing then. I contacted R* support again and this time they resolved my ticket without even doing anything. I'm regretting I ever purchased from them.

Is there anything I can do to play GTA online? Any idea will be appreciated.


Update: Rockstar support finally replied and fixed my problem.

get rstar to call you . make a new ticket. they will delete everything.. tell them u had billions lol and your loosing 3000 hours of playtime they might hook u up with some cash... but other then that you will be starting over.

So I found a solution. of sorts.. you will need someone with a console version of GTA 5.. then you basically make a char using your account on the console.. and transfer it to the PC version:

I read about this solution before but unfortunately I don't have anyone with console version of GTA 5. Thanks for the reply though.

too bad transferring is no longer possible.

Transfers ended 2 years a go.

So I got a reply to my recently submitted ticket again with standard got solutions. I told them none of them actually work for so they should reset my character data or something like that. Then I got this response,

"Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. We received your report regarding an in-game Bug.
This ticket will close after this reply, but your Bug Report will remain available for review by our team and we will reach out if we require further details. Should you need immediate assistance, please file a new ticket under the issue type that best reflects your problem."

And then they marked my ticket resolved. Should I wait or should send another ticket?

how exactly you are trying to overwrite it? anyway, try loading to story mode then go esc>online>chose character and try stuff in there, maybe create a second char

The game tells me that my character 1 saved data is corrupt. Then it offers me to overwrite the saved data by wiping it out and start a new character. When I do that it gives me error. So basically I'm stuck in GTA online.

I also tried what you told. Still the same problem as above

Download a save game off the Internet place in folder and turn sync on, and shazam it syncs that to the acc. Issue solved
