Reinstalling the game is no better than using Verify Cache, and it will not solve anything. Don't bother to reinstall, it takes way, WAY too long to reinstall this gigantic game.
If you intend to reinstall, do so after talking to them, but unless you knew the profile name of the guy who hacked you, they won't be able to help you. Besides, the game only needs to be reinstalled if you have persistent issues. This guy hacked you, a person with a working game, so it would solve nothing.
Best you can do is tell them the exact time it happened, and hope they manage to trace him, but there were likely thousands of people playing at that time, soooo.......
You can pretty much thank Rockstar's faulty anti-cheat for this. If it would serve any purpose, I would sure as hell think it would be to prevent being literally hacked as the top priority.
Honestly this game is a hacking nightmare.
Those were weeks ago and nothing happened to my account. Safe to say that you won't get punished either.
