Error code 134
Hi everyone,
after the new launcher, I'm not able to launch the game, not online and not single player.
It always comes with a message "Rockstar services are unavailable and offline play cannot be verified (code 134)" or something like that. Anyone knows anything about this? I must say that before this new freaking rockstar launcher everything was good...

Error code 134 is a issue with the Rockstar launcher it get bugged out by trying to launch through Steam. What you need to do is exit out of Steam totally and even in the hidden icons in the bottom right of the task bar. Then you need to launch the Rockstar launcher on it's own without steam and let it update. Once done try again launching through Steam.

Error occurs without Steam for people who dont even own a Steamversion of the game.

After much mucking around I finally found the solution to this dumb code 134 problem.

Before clicking play on the Steam launcher, you need to set these 3 files as "Run this program as an administrator" in your GTA V installation folder:

GTA5.exe
GTAVLauncher.exe
PlayGTAV.exe

My default installation directory is at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V but yours may be different if you chose a different installation folder.

Right click those 3 files, click Properties, then go to the [Compatibility] tab, then tick the option below "Run this program as an administrator". Then click OK.

Once the three files are set with those options, login to your Steam launcher, then click Play for GTA V on your Steam launcher. It should now bring you to Rockstar Games Launcher with no problem. Register for a Rockstar account and login.

By now, it should now update the Rockstar launcher. At this point, it will ask you to link your Steam account with your Rockstar account. Just agree to sell your soul to the devil. You should see "Play on Steam" below the Grand Theft Auto V logo.

Earlier if you login directly into the Rockstar Games Launcher without going in through Steam, it will just show "Buy Now".

Here comes the best part, if you try click "Play on Steam", the Steam launcher will try to update GTA V via Steam and fail giving an error code that GTA V is already running and it cannot be updated.

Just logout from Steam but don't logout from Rockstar Games Launcher.

Then, press Ctrl + Alt + Esc on your keyboard to bring up Task Manager, and then right click "End Task" any Steam related processes.

Then, click "Play on Steam" in the Rockstar Games Launcher, it should bring up the login screen for Steam. Just login as normal and the game should start successfully. After a few more terms and conditions and selling your soul and liberty to the devil, you should be able to play the game. Otherwise best of luck spamming tickets to Rockstar.

Now if I want to play GTA V, I login Rockstar Games Launcher first, before logging in Steam.

must be region related. I have a deeper mini that does dpn and when i disabled it and my traffic goes to my local isp it went through. Eitherway we paid for the game there shouldnt be any need of a launcher
For anyone having this issue on Linux, I found that the issue on my end ended up being that I was using iwd to manage my wireless connection instead of NetworkManager. Switching completely fixed it for me.

Amigos tengo este problema en Steam Deck y ya intenté muchas cosas: Desinstalar el juego por completo, el lanzador, desconectar el router por 10 min. Nada funciona desde hace 2 días. Ayuda!
