Rockstar Games Launcher expects me to have ID from the exact country i'm in to confirm my age.

So basically i'm expected to get a citizenship in Ireland (god knows how many years early before its actually possible) despite my ID card from Hungary being perfectly usable in ALL EU Countries otherwise to get past the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t age restriction from buying products on the Rockstar Game Store.

Anyone have any workaround with this or should i just keep messaging support until they learn how the EU works instead of geo-locking their store?

P.S No, going back to hungary is NOT an option, and i'm not even gonna risk using a VPN before they find a reason to ban me for it.

That's a real thing in the uk? For f's sake the US needs to make that a thing and use driver's licenses to register with games to prove age. Would make gaming so much better knowing children can't play certain games like gta

I'm not buying GTA specifically, the Rockstar game store that they added to launch the game recently (where Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing exclusively for a month for example) however does require me to give proof of my age using an ID that i don't neither will ♥♥♥♥♥♥ have for the upcoming god knows how many years.

Apparently this has been an issue in Germany aswell where they expect you to use a German ID instead of a UK one.

(For clarity i can run GTA 5 because of the SOLE REASON that i bought it on steam (also in another country), i however CAN'T purchase anything on Rockstar's store nor do i think it would allow me to play the game if i owned it there)

I can't provide any images of the UK bulls*** as i'm not in a place where i can access my account or my files right now, i however do have a screenshot of the German version from my friend who ran into the exact same issue i did and can't bypass it: https://imgur.com/a/iYODNIk

Translation from top to bottom summed up is:
"The product you're trying to purchase is age restricted and can't be sold between the hours of 0:00 and 24:00 (the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ day lmao) and requires proof of age to be sold to you. These details will not be forwarded to any third parties or saved.

Enter the required details from your Personal ID below."

At this point no matter what you enter, so long as you aren't in possession of a card from the specified language/country you're never getting past this screen no matter what you do.


Messaged Rockstar support and they didn't give a flying saucer f*** since, their site even went down and refused to accept my support ticket for about a week after the Rockstar Store came out, outstanding freaking work to whoever programmed this basically.
